Kigali – Rwanda, The Rwanda Mining Association (RMA) is pleased to announce a smooth and official leadership handover at the Secretariat level. A brief ceremony was held at the RMA offices to mark the transition between Ms. Alice Uwineza, who has been serving as Interim Executive Secretary, and Mr. Joseph Niyongabo, the newly appointed Executive Secretary.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This transition comes at a critical time as the Association continues to strengthen its role in representing and advocating for Rwanda\u2019s mining industry. The handover was conducted in the presence of RMA staff underscoring the Association\u2019s commitment to good governance and transparency.<\/p>\n
Recognizing Outstanding Service<\/h3>\nMs. Alice Uwineza, who has been serving in the interim role<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
RMA extends its sincere gratitude to Ms. Uwineza for her steadfast leadership and professionalism during her tenure. Her dedication ensured continuity, strengthened institutional coordination, and helped implement key activities outlined in the Association\u2019s strategic plan.<\/p>\n

Welcoming New Leadership<\/h3>\nMr Joseph Niyongabo, the appointed Executive Secretary<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
As the new Executive Secretary, Mr. Joseph Niyongabo brings with him extensive experience in leadership, activities coordination, and stakeholder engagement. He is expected to lead the Secretariat with renewed energy and strategic focus, in alignment with the Association\u2019s vision of promoting ethical, safe, and sustainable mining practices in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to join RMA at a time when the mining sector is gaining momentum. I look forward to working collaboratively with members, partners, and stakeholders to elevate the industry further,\u201d<\/em> said Mr. Niyongabo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
